Back in the early (but not so early) days of the Internet, the most controversial site you could stumble upon was surely rotten.com. It was probably the very first site to publish graphic, morbid and macabre content that kicked off many other shock sites like Ogrish or Liveleak.
As soon as I knew the site had been taken offline (in 2018, according to Wikipedia) I ruhsed myself to the Web Archive as I needed to get a copy of an old article that impressed me many years ago; the article was about the greatest game ever created - Tetris - and its story of copyright, communism, murder and suicide.
You can still find the original article here on the web archive. But I like to host a copy of the article itslef as my own personal fetish.
